YOUR DATA, YOUR MUSIC

Privacy Policy.

Effective November 8, 2026

DJ OGVHS is a DJ website for browsing music, requesting songs and mashups, and participating in invitation-only playlist collaborations. This notice explains what information we handle, why we use it, and how to contact us about it. Some collaboration features are in testing and may not yet be available on the public website.

Information you choose to provide

  • Song and mashup requests: requested songs, artists, and an optional name or nickname.
  • Collab invitation requests: an email address if you choose to ask for an invitation. We use it to respond about collaborations, not to add you to a marketing mailing list.
  • Collab contributions: suggested songs, artists, Spotify playlist links, optional contributor names, and the associated collaboration room. Names and contributions may be visible to other people who have that room's private invitation link.
  • Collab uploads: files you voluntarily upload, including filenames, file types, sizes, and upload times. Please do not submit confidential information or files you do not have permission to share.
  • Messages: details you send through our contact page or by email.

Technical information

The website uses a randomly generated browser identifier stored locally to apply request and upload limits. Our hosting and backend providers may process basic connection information such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, and error logs to deliver the service, maintain security, and prevent abuse. We do not use that identifier to build advertising profiles.

How we use information

We use submissions to manage DJ requests, organize private playlist collaborations, review invitation requests, identify abuse, and operate the website. We do not sell submitted personal information or use collaboration email addresses for unsolicited marketing.

Google Drive and Google account data

DJ OGVHS Collab uses a Google account authorized by the DJ to create and manage private folders and files for collaboration rooms. The Google Drive integration requests the drive.file permission, which is limited to files the application creates or is authorized to use; it does not request access to the entire Google Drive account.

We use this Google authorization to create a private folder for each room, upload visitor-submitted files, and retrieve the resulting file and folder details for DJ administration. Google account credentials and OAuth tokens are held on the server, not sent to invited visitors. Guests do not need to sign in with Google to submit a file. We do not use Google Drive data for advertising, sell it, or provide it to unrelated third parties. Google processes files as a storage provider; access may also occur as required by law or to protect the service.

Uploaded files are intended for the DJ and are not made publicly downloadable by the Collab site. A private room invitation permits collaboration; it does not grant direct Google Drive access.

Other services and links

Our backend uses Supabase to process and store requests and collaboration records. Google Drive stores collaboration uploads. Music suggestions may query Apple's public iTunes Search API; those search terms are sent to Apple. Spotify playlist links are stored as links, not imported through Spotify login. Links or embedded content from Mixcloud and other music or payment providers lead to services with their own privacy practices. Payments, if you choose to leave a tip, take place through the provider you select rather than through our own payment form.

Storage, access, and retention

DJ-only management information, including invitation-request email addresses and uploaded-file details, is restricted to authorized administration tools. People holding a room invitation may see that room's shared song suggestions and contributor names. Invitation links should not be shared publicly.

We retain information while it is needed to manage requests, collaborations, security, or related obligations, and review deletion requests individually. Closing a collaboration room does not by itself delete its submissions or uploaded files. Because the service is still developing, we have not yet set fixed automatic deletion periods for every data category.

Your choices

You can submit ordinary song requests without providing your name and may contribute to a Collab using a nickname. Providing an email address or uploading files is optional. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of information you provided, contact us using the details below. We will review requests in accordance with applicable law and any recordkeeping or security obligations.

Children's privacy

This service is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
